These terms govern your use of the Hickory app and services ("Hickory"). By creating an account you agree to them.
Membership
Hickory is invite-only. Accounts require a valid invite code and accurate information about yourself. You're responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms, misrepresent club memberships, or harm the community — membership is a privilege, like any club.
Not affiliated with any golf club
Hickory lists golf courses and clubs for informational purposes. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any golf course or club named in the app. Club names and trademarks belong to their owners. Any guest access to a private club is arranged privately between members, is subject entirely to that club's own rules, and is never guaranteed by Hickory. We connect people; clubs decide who walks through their doors.
Your content
You own the reviews, photos, lists, and messages you post. You grant Hickory a non-exclusive license to display that content within the service — that's what lets other members see your reviews. Don't post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, infringing, or that shares another person's private information. Be the kind of member you'd want in your foursome.
Community safety
You can report any member or content from their profile, and block any member. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content or members that violate these terms. Objectionable content has no membership here.
Acceptable use
No scraping, reverse engineering, automated access, reselling of data, or use of Hickory to spam or solicit members. No impersonating other people or claiming memberships you don't hold.
Disclaimers
Hickory is provided "as is." Course information (including whether a course is public or private, prices, and availability) may be inaccurate or out of date. Tee-time bookings link to third-party services we don't control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months, whichever is greater.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Edit profile → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
Changes
If we make material changes, we'll notify members in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
